WLIH/Build It Tonight
Start to finish, one sitting

Build it tonight.

By the time you go to bed, you'll have a real website live on the internet, with a link you can text your mom and post on your story. No code. No experience. About an hour, with me the whole way.

★ A real, live web page★ A link that's yours★ Built with AI, by you

You'll leave with

A page

One clean page that says who you are and what you do.

And

A link

A real URL on the internet. Not a draft. Live.

And

The receipt

Proof you can build. The thing every excuse dies on.

The build, six steps
1~10 minDecide the one page

Tonight you make one page. Not a whole website. One. Pick the simplest version of what you need:

  • A link-in-bio page (your name, what you do, a few links).
  • A one-offer page (a thing you sell or do, and a button).
  • A coming-soon page (your name, one line, a way to reach you).

Write one sentence in your notes app: "I help [who] with [what]." That's your whole brief. Done.

Stuck or confused at any point tonight: screenshot it (Cmd+Shift+4), paste it into Claude (Cmd+V), ask. That habit is the whole skill.
2~5 minOpen your builder

Go to claude.ai and start a new chat. That's your builder. You'll talk to it in plain English and it writes the actual website for you.

One thing to know: a website is just one file. You're going to get Claude to write that file, then drop it on the internet. That's the entire trick, and you already understand it now.

3~10 minWrite your page in plain words

Copy this, fill in the pink parts, paste it into Claude, and press Enter. It writes your whole page.

The magic prompt
Build me a one-page website as a single HTML file.

About me: I'm [YOUR NAME] and I help [WHO YOU HELP] with [WHAT YOU DO].

The page should have:
- A big headline that makes someone want to stay
- A short, warm paragraph about what I do
- Three things I offer or three reasons to work with me
- A button that says "[BUTTON TEXT]" linking to [YOUR LINK OR EMAIL]

Style: [pick one: warm and intimate / bold and modern / soft and minimal].
Colors: dark background, with [YOUR ACCENT COLOR] accents. Make it feel premium.

Give me one complete HTML file I can publish. No explanation, just the file.

When it finishes, you'll see a block of code. That's your website. Don't panic at the code, you never have to read it.

4~10 minMake it yours

Look at the preview. Anything you'd change, just say it in plain words. Keep going until it feels like you. Examples you can paste:

Tweak it
Change the headline to say "[NEW HEADLINE]".
Make the accent color [COLOR] instead.
Make the about paragraph shorter and warmer.
Keep everything else the same.
You can do this as many times as you want. It costs nothing and it can't break. Push until you'd be proud to post it.
5~10 minPut it on the internet

This is the part that feels like a magic trick. You're going to turn that file into a real link.

  1. In Claude, ask: "Give me that as a downloadable .html file." Save it to your desktop.
  2. Go to app.netlify.com/drop in your browser.
  3. Drag your file onto the page. That's it.
  4. It hands you a live link. Open it. That's your website, on the internet, right now.
Want to keep the link forever and pick a nicer name? Make a free Netlify account when it offers, and it saves your site. You can point a real .com at it later.
6~5 minPost it

Don't sit on it. The point of tonight is the receipt, so cash it.

  • Put the link in your Instagram bio.
  • Post a story: "I built this tonight." with the link sticker.
  • Text it to one person who'll be proud of you.

You just did the thing you weren't sure you could do. Quietly note that.

You did it ✨

You're live.

This morning you weren't sure you could build anything. Tonight there's a link with your name on it. That's not nothing. That's the whole thing.

Ready to build the real thing, the one that sells? That's the next page.
